Made in 2 weeks for Jam-O-Lantern 2023

A stylish 2.5D split-screen competitive local multiplayer game.

Recruit ghoulish goons to dominate your neighborhood's candy supply as you fight to decide which mafia outfit has control of the block.

Lead programmer and designer.

Programmed system to swap between different sprites for the same animations.

Got 2.5D sprites working with multiple cameras.

Programmed simple but cartoony melee combat system.

Knockback and stunning. Health is based on candy held.

Animations different on front and back.
Sprite swapped differently on each splitscreen camera.

JULY 2023

Summary

Made on my own for GMTK 2023 in 2 days.

  

Endless fishing/runner game from the perspective of the fish.

Flee as far as you can into the depths while avoiding obstacles and fighting against the pull of the fisherman.

Programmed core mechanics and procedural level creation.

Created all art assets in Photoshop.

Sourced and edited all sound effects.

DARK ENOUGH TO SEE

OCT 2022  

Summary

Co-op 2D platformer made for Jam-O-Lantern 2022 in 2 weeks.

  

At an abandoned neighborhood, a bus drops off a young girl in a hospital gown, only for her to fall into a world where reality mixes with shadows.

 

The foes she faces are split between physical and ethereal planes, so she must rely on a friendly wraith she meets to carve through the twisted underworld.

 

Contributions

 

Creating both player character controllers. 

In additional to basic movement, I programmed the projectile aiming and firing for the human character, as well as the wall jump for the shadow character. Additionally, level design.

From working with a more experienced programmer, I learned a lot about working with animations, sound, and 2D enemy AI in Unity.
